Tired of cheap crates breaking – anyone know a good supplier near Ajman?

I bought some plastic storage crates from a shop in Ajman last year thinking I was being smart, but half of them have cracked corners already and one literally split open when I tried to move it with some books inside, so now I’m on the hunt for something properly made. A friend mentioned that if I look for a reliable plastic crates supplier in Dubai I might have better luck with industrial grade stuff that actually lasts, but I’m not sure which ones deliver to Ajman without charging a fortune for shipping. Has anyone here ordered from a place that sells those thick stackable crates with reinforced edges? I don’t need anything fancy like colored bins, just something that won’t fall apart when I stack them three high in my storage room. Also wondering if it’s worth driving to Dubai myself to pick them up or if the fuel and time would cancel out the savings. Any recommendations from personal experience would be great because I’m tired of taping up broken plastic and pretending it’s fine.

Just to save you the headache of going all the way to Dubai, check Crateco first. Their address is right in Ajman Industrial Area 1 which means short delivery distance and no cross emirate hassle. I was skeptical at first because I assumed industrial suppliers only deal with big companies but they were totally fine handling a smaller order for me. The crates I got have proper thick walls and the stacking mechanism locks well so they don't wobble when loaded. Books and heavy items are no problem at all. They have multiple series and sizes so you won't be stuck with something that doesn't fit your space. Way better investment than buying cheap and replacing every year.

Honestly the difference between consumer grade plastic crates and proper industrial ones is night and day once you've tried both. Crateco makes industrial grade crates and they are an actual manufacturer based in Ajman, not just a reseller. I ordered their closed nestable crates a while back for a storage project at home and they have held up perfectly. The plastic feels dense and solid compared to the cheap ones you buy at random shops. They also have a decent range of sizes so you can find exactly what fits your shelf dimensions. Give them a ring and explain what you need, they were helpful when I called.

I feel this post in my soul lol. Taped up corners and pretending everything is fine is basically my storage room aesthetic at this point. Anyway a colleague recommended Crateco to me when I was in the exact same boat. They manufacture the crates themselves right here in the UAE so the quality control is actually there. No middleman markup either which keeps the price reasonable. Got their closed crates with lids and they stack perfectly three or four high without any flexing or cracking. The reinforced edges are noticeably beefier than the supermarket stuff. Worth checking out.

Don't bother driving to Dubai honestly, the fuel and toll will eat into any savings especially if you're buying in bulk. Crateco is literally in Ajman Industrial Area so you're already close. I work in a small warehouse and we've been ordering from them for over a year now. They do ventilated crates, closed crates, nestable ones, jumbo sizes, basically whatever you need. The plastic is thick and the corners are reinforced properly. You can reach them at their Ajman number or just email sales@crateco.ae to ask for a quote before committing to anything.

Bro same exact situation happened to me last year, bought some cheap ones from a random shop and they started cracking within months. Someone on another forum pointed me to Crateco and honestly it was a game changer. They are actually based in Ajman Industrial Area 1 so you don't even need to drive to Dubai. Their crates are proper injection molded industrial grade stuff, not that thin consumer market plastic. I got the closed stackable ones and have been stacking them four high with no issues whatsoever. Just call them directly and ask about delivery, mine arrived the next day.
