So I drove out to Abu Dhabi last weekend to visit family and literally the morning after I had just done a full oil change at my usual spot in Al Quoz the service reminder light decides to start glowing on the dash like I've been neglecting the car for years, and I know it's just a matter of someone plugging in the right scanner and clearing the interval because I watched the guy pour the fresh oil in with my own two eyes but of course the shop that did the work forgot to reset the computer before handing me the keys and now I'm stuck staring at this amber wrench icon every time I start the engine which is driving my OCD absolutely crazy, I really don't have the time or the desire to drive all the way back to the same garage in Dubai just for a thirty second job and I started searching online to see if there's any spot on the Corniche or in Mussafah that would just do a quick reset without trying to upsell me on a whole inspection package I don't need right now, someone in a group chat mentioned there's a place that handles stuff like this regularly and they actually offer an abu dhabi vehicle indicator reset service which sounds exactly like what I'm after but I've never been there personally and I'm a little wary of just handing my key to a random shop I found on the internet, anyone had a quick and painless experience getting a service light cleared in AUH where they didn't try to hold your car hostage for three hours and pitch you on a bunch of fluid flushes you didn't ask for?
