Just wanted to drop a quick note here for anyone else who's been losing sleep over a potential Porsche purchase in this city because I almost learned an expensive lesson the hard way. I've been hunting for a 997 Carrera for the better part of six months and thought I'd found the one, clean interior, seller was a nice British expat leaving the country, and the engine sounded pretty mean on a cold start. But my wife kept saying "you're not a mechanic why are you trusting your own ears" and honestly she had a point so I ended up booking a proper Porsche Certified Inspection Dubai Service before signing anything. Turned out the car had a pretty serious over rev report in range 4 and 5 that the seller conveniently forgot to mention plus the RMS was just starting to weep which would have been a nightmare to fix once the summer humidity hit. The guy doing the inspection actually showed me the bore scope footage and the scoring was minimal but enough to make me walk away from that specific car, saved me like forty grand in potential heartache. Anyway I'm still looking for the right one but I feel way less stressed now knowing that the money for that check is basically the best insurance you can buy out here, and I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar wake up call or if I was just being extra paranoid for no reason.
