Winadda brings you the latest update from the opening unofficial Test between India A and New Zealand A at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln. Despite featuring a star-studded batting line-up, India A were bowled out for just 113 after struggling badly against New Zealand A's disciplined pace attack.

The india vs nz a contest quickly turned into a difficult outing for the visitors, with five India A batters failing to score. The green, grass-covered surface offered significant assistance to the seamers, and New Zealand A made excellent use of the conditions.

India A's Top Order Struggles

India A entered the match with an experienced batting group featuring KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Sai Sudharsan and captain Dhruv Jurel. However, the top order failed to build the partnerships expected of them.

KL Rahul was dismissed for a duck after facing eight deliveries, edging Fraser Sheat behind the stumps. Jaiswal managed 17 from 45 balls before Zak Gibson ended his innings.

Padikkal provided some resistance with a patient 32 from 77 deliveries, but he could not convert his start into a substantial score. Sudharsan was dismissed for a duck, while Jurel managed only one run.

New Zealand A Pacers Dominate

Simon Keene was the standout bowler for New Zealand A, producing a superb spell of 5 wickets for 24 runs from 11.3 overs. Zak Gibson also made a major contribution with three wickets for 29 runs.

The bowling attack repeatedly found movement from the surface, making it difficult for India's batters to settle. India A eventually lost their final five wickets for only 55 runs, highlighting the extent of the collapse.

Yash Rathod Leads Late Resistance

Yash Rathod emerged as India's lone standout batter. He remained unbeaten on 44 from 49 balls, hitting three fours and three sixes in an aggressive counterattack.

With wickets falling at the opposite end, Rathod continued attacking the bowlers and helped India A move beyond the 100-run mark. His contribution was particularly important because the rest of the lower order struggled to support him.

Anshul Kamboj contributed 10, while Mukesh Choudhary failed to score before becoming Keene's fifth victim.

India A Under Pressure

The total of 113 leaves India A's bowlers with a demanding task. The same grass on the pitch that troubled their batters could provide their own seamers with opportunities, but New Zealand A's openers had already begun building a response.

For the india vs nz a contest, India's immediate priority will be to take early wickets and prevent New Zealand A from establishing a significant first-innings advantage.

Final Outlook

Winadda highlights a disappointing batting display from India A, with five ducks and only 113 runs on the board. Simon Keene's five-wicket haul and Yash Rathod's unbeaten 44 were the defining performances of the opening innings.

The india vs nz a matchup remains finely poised despite India's poor start, but the visitors will need their bowling attack to respond strongly if they are to stay competitive in the unofficial Test.
