Private car from Macau to Hong Kong,China with large luggage

Hello, everyone. Could you tell me if anyone has traveled from Macau to Hong Kong with large luggage? My wife and I have two large suitcases and backpacks. I read that taxis may charge extra or simply refuse to take us. Where is the best place to book to avoid any surprises? We are planning to travel the day after tomorrow evening, and I would like to arrange transportation in advance, if possible.

Hello, are you moving or something? My brother and I were once traveling to the Venetian Macau Hotel in Kowloon with a lot of luggage, and our private transfer broke down. We were helping our parents deliver goods to the hotel. They sell furniture and other items. With prices like that, we didn't even consider a regular taxi. Nevertheless, I searched online and booked a private car from Macau to Hong Kong private car through GetTransfer. I specifically chose a car with a large trunk. The reviews were good, and everything went really well. The price was fixed, and they didn't count the suitcases separately. It was very convenient. Will there only be two of you? That's also important when choosing a car.

Hi,

Traveling from Macau to Hong Kong with large luggage can definitely be a bit tricky, especially with taxis sometimes limiting baggage. From what I’ve seen, the safest option is to pre-book a private transfer, as you’ll know in advance that the vehicle can handle your luggage and there won’t be any last-minute issues.

When booking, make sure to choose a larger vehicle (like an MPV or van) and clearly mention the number of suitcases. Most reliable services will confirm this beforehand and offer fixed pricing, so you won’t get unexpected charges.

It’s quite similar to how services like London Airport Taxi operate—everything is arranged in advance, with the right vehicle, professional driver, and no surprises on the day. That kind of setup is ideal when you’re traveling with a lot of सामान and want a smooth journey.

Also, since you’re crossing a border (Macau to Hong Kong), double-check that the transfer service is licensed for cross-border travel, as not all vehicles are allowed to do that.

Hope that helps, and have a great trip!
